The 2020 Chevy Suburban runs on a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that makes 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque in its base trim, and a 6.2-liter EcoTec V8 engine that offers 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque is available as well. When properly equipped, a Suburban with the 5.3-liter engine can tow up to 6,300 pounds while a Suburban with the 6.2-liter engine can tow up to 8,100 pounds.
